Receive Case
A webhook/push API that will receive an HTTP Post of the contents of a case in JSON format. This data represents comprehensive details about the product items contained within a case of product received by a retailer, including:
Brands
Products
Batches
Contained Cases (sub-cases)
Regulatory IDs
LucidIDs for all contained items
When specifying a Brand, Product, or Batch, LucidRetail will also provide the Lucid Green UUID for that entity, which can be used to uniquely identify and match data already contained in the 3PP.
Processing information contained in the JSON document
The JSON document will contain the most recent information about the brand, product, and batch, and should be used to update records of those particular entities in the 3PP. Additionally, if any of the specific Brand, Product, or Batch information is not currently maintained in the 3PP, the data provided in the JSON document should be used to create a catalog entry for that particular entity.
For example, if a retailer receives a case of product from a Brand, and that brand record in the 3PP is incomplete or the information provided by the JSON document is different (i.e. a Brand logo image or Brand description), the 3PP should use the information provided by the JSON document to update the record for that Brand in the 3PP’s system.
Similarly, if a retailer receives a case of product from a known Brand but doesn’t have a catalog entry for the Product itself, the 3PP should take the information contained in the JSON document and create a new catalog entry for that product in the 3PP’s system and associate it with the specified Brand.
Handling LucidIDs
The JSON document will specify items as a list of UUIDs. These items are the LucidIDs for each individual item contained in the case. To enable usage of the LucidID for POS checkout scanning, the LucidIDs specified in the list of items should be stored by the 3PP and used to match against a LucidID scanned at checkout.
Note
A scanned LucidID will contain a URL format LucidID identifier. See LucidIDs, CaseIDs, and Collections above for information about how to interpret the URL structure and extract the LucidID in UUID format for matching against the LucidIDs specified in the list of items.
